Extra-curriculars have often been called the “other half of education.” NEWLHS offers a wide range of activities and athletic opportunities in which the students can get involved, under the direction of Christian leaders.
As well as the athletic teams, NEWLHS has a Student Council, Yearbook staff, National Honor Society, Academic teams, Drama Productions, School Newspaper, Band, Choir and Dance. There is an extensive music program that takes place not only in the student’s schedule but also before or after school - Pep Band, Praise Band, Solo-ensemble, as well as 3 different choral groups, which perform in at least three major concerts throughout the year.
