MATH COMPETITION

Divisions: 3rd 4th 5th 6th 7th 8th

Purpose: To sharpen math computational and problem solving skills.

Competition:

1. Each student will have to solve as many test problems as possible in 30 minutes.

2. Answers are either correct or incorrect. No partial credit will be given.

3. Scratch paper will be provided. No calculators will be allowed. 

4. Each student must bring two pencils.

5. A blank copy of the exam and the answer key will be given to the schools after the competition.

Each participant will receive a certificate of participation. In each division a ribbon will be awarded to the top three participants. In the 7th and 8th grade divisions, a scholarship will be awarded to the top participant.
