NEWLHS Expo Speech Contest Information 

Greetings!  I am sending this note to clarify information regarding the 7^th & 8^th grade speech contest at this year’s Expo. 

In an effort to encourage and improve students’ public speaking skills, the NEW LHS Expo will once again hold a speech contest for 7^th & 8^th graders instead of the spelling bee.  The contest will follow the Optimist International Oratorical Contest topic and guidelines.  Each grade will have a separate contest.  We hope that this contest will give the students feedback and encouragement to continue improvement of their public speaking skills. 

This year’s theme:   “My Biggest Challenge is …”
