After graduating from Fox Valley Lutheran High School in Appleton, Wisconsin, I attended UW-Eau Claire. After graduating with a dual major in social studies and physical education in 1973, I taught elementary physical education for the Chippewa falls school system for three years. My husband and I moved to Green Bay in 1976 when Bill started a job teaching technical education for the Green Bay Public Schools. In the spring of 1983 a friend asked me if I would consider teaching at a small Lutheran high school to temporarily help out. The rest is history. I have had the privilege of teaching at NEWLHS ever since. I currently teach American Government, economics, sociology, physical education, and serve as the career guidance director. I also coordinate the enrichment program and work with the academic competition teams.
I have been blessed with a supportive, caring husband and two fine sons. My two grown sons are Scott, a 1998 NEWLHS graduate, and Tim, a 2001 NEWLHS graduate. With the April 2003 addition of Scott's wife Jamie to our family, the gender odds will finally improve! We have been members of St. Mark Lutheran Church since arriving in Green Bay.
When not busy with family, school, or my duties as a member of the Green Bay Kicker Soccer Club Board of Directors, my passion is chasing a small white ball around nicely manicured green spaces.
