Who are Ray and Katie?
Ray Cichocki and Katie Zeitler are both alumni
of NEW Lutheran High School. Ray graduated in 1984, and Katie graduated in 2002.
Ray Cichocki was studying to become a pastor at Concordia Seminary in Ft. Wayne,
IN when his life was suddenly and tragically ended by a drunk driver on October
25, 1991.
Katie Zeitler was diagnosed with a lung disease when she was 2 years old, and
underwent lung transplants at the ages of 9 and 10 years old. Despite her
physical problems, Katie always had time for her family and friends, and she
enjoyed spending time helping kids at local elementary schools. Katie sadly
passed away on September 18, 2004 from complications related to her disease.
Ray and Katie may be gone, but they will never be
forgotten. The NEWLHS Blazer Alumni Association is celebrating the lives of Ray
and Katie with this annual event. All funds raised by the event will benefit NEW
Lutheran High School.

7:30 am Race day registration & packet pick-up
8:00 am Child care registration opens
9:00 am Ray’s 5K Run/Walk start
10:00 am Katie’s Kids Run start
10:30 am Awards presentation
Directions to NEW Lutheran High
School
Take Hwy 43 North to the Mason St. exit. West on
Mason St. to Edgewood. South on Edgewood to Robinson Ave. East on Robinson to
the NEWLHS parking lot.
Packet Pick-Up
You may register or pick up the event packet (t-shirt and number) from 4-8 pm on
Friday, September 28th , or on the morning of the event
at NEW Lutheran High School. All packets must be picked up by 10:30 am,
September 29th, 2007. No t-shirts will be mailed. No refunds will be given.

Child Care Registration
NEWLHS students will provide free
child care for all Ray’s 5K participants and volunteers from 8:00 to 10:30 AM.
Awards
All participants will receive a long-sleeve
t-shirt.
Medals will be awarded to the top 3 male and
female finishers in each age category of Ray’s 5K.
Prizes will be awarded to the top fundraisers.
Katie’s Kid’s Run participants will also
receive a goody bag.
Other Requests
Please bring your pledge sheets and donations
with you on the day of the event.
Please line up at the start with the faster
runners in the front and the walkers in the rear.
For everyone’s safety, please no pets,
scooters, in-line skates or skateboards. Thank you.
