BASKETBALL (Boys)

Blazer Boys Basketball has had a tremendous run of success in recent years.  With 7 WIAA State Tournament Appearances in the last 10 years and a WISAA State Championship in 1998, Coach Mark Meerstein has built a tremendous program that rivals any in the state.

The success is attributed to the support of our community, parents and alumni.

Competing in the Packerland Conference, the Blazers face stiff competition throughout the year against some excellent teams. This has produced solid, competitive teams, especially in the playoffs.  The program has also produced several NCAA Division 2 and 3 athletes, including one of our graduates who played professionally in China and one that is currently playing in Russia.

If you are a Blazer basketball alum check us out on facebook - www.facebook.com and search for N.E.W. Lutheran Basketball.  Keep in touch, get involved in some discussions and keep track of what the current Blazers are doing.

BASKETBALL (Girls)

With WIAA Regional Championships in 4 out of the last 6 years and two Sectional final appearances, Coach Nicki Natzke has the Girls program on the rise. Coach Naztke is well-known in Northeastern Wisconsin Girls Basketball for her work at Wrightstown High School, where she guided the Lady Tigers to the State tournament.

The Lady Blazers play in the always competitive Packerland Conference with the likes of perennial state contending programs Algoma and Kewaunee along with Oconto, Gibraltar, Peshtigo, Southern Door, Sturgeon Bay & Sevastopol. The Girls program features both a JV and Varsity team with student-athletes from several different communities around the region participating.

For more information on the Blazer Girls program and camps that are run over the summer for middle and high school athletes, please contact the school office at 920-469-6810.
